- Booking is required for space usage, with walk-ins permitted based on availability and a case-by-case basis.1
Functions:
- Curate and facilitate public programs, focusing on DIY, sustainability, and practical skills.
- Promote and advocate for DIY culture through both physical and online channels.
- Maintain the public space and equipment to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Offer proficiency induction classes to familiarise members with the space and tools.
- Curate and market third-party programs to diversify offerings.
- Maintain an active online presence to engage with our community.
Capabilities:
Our space is equipped with various tools and equipment, including hand tools, soldering kits, 3D printers, laser cutters, power tools, measuring tools, and more.
Programs:
- Basic induction classes are offered monthly for free
- Paid classes cover various topics such as home electrical safety, PCB design, soldering, 3D printing, and CAD design.
- Fringe programs include activities like soldering badges and plug-changing classes, offered for free or at a nominal fee.
Fringe Activities:
- Collaborative programs with partners and green talks.
- Community outreach initiatives like residential LED changing and electrical safety checks.
- Pop-up events and outings to promote sustainability and engage with the broader community.
